A new web series, Extreme Weather, looks at the weather-related disasters that seem to be plaguing the planet with increasing frequency due to global warming. This episode covers floods in Thailand, the October snowstorm in the northeast U.S., monster dust storms in Texas, and the coldest place on Earth.

While the scientific evidence of global warming is still debated in the U.S., U.K.-based Green.tv takes the phenomenon as a given. Citing the position of the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Extreme Weather explains that the warmer atmosphere is responsible for the increasing frequency of natural disasters around the world.
