NASA's Suomi NPP satellite took 15 orbits around the Earth to capture this mosaic image of the globe from the north, showing the Arctic, Europe, and Asia, with a particularly good view of Saudi Arabia. The Suomi NPP satellite orbits Earth 14 times a day, recording data on the planet's climate, weather, and vegetation to help scientists better understand the ways the climate is changing.
