NASA's Mars Rover Opportunity snapped up this mosaic of a self portrait between the 2,111th and 2,814th Martian days of its mission, corresponding with December 21 to December 24 here on Earth. The mosaic's perspective omits the pole on which the camera that took the pictures is mounted. The dust covering Rover's solar panels presents a challenge for the mission, as it limits the vehicle's power supply, until either winter passes and the days get longer or wind blows the dust away.
