Hubble has sent back this picture of a group of young stars called R136, which is in the 30 Doradus Nebula, in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of our own galaxy, the Milky Way. 30 Doradus is larger and more prolific than any star-forming region in the Milky Way. The above image, which shows features from visible, infrared, and ultraviolet light, captures an area 100 light years across. Many of the light blue stars are among the most massive known, as many as 100 times larger than our sun.
