Live From Queens: Faith Leaders on a Warming Planet

By Climate Desk

Flushing, Queens, is one of the most religiously diverse places in the world. There are 356 religious sites in there -- two-thirds of which are Protestant, about 30 are Catholic, three are Afghan mosques, nine are Hindu temples, and nine are seminaries of one variety or another. The Climate Desk's James West took to the streets of a one-square-mile area to interview five faith leaders -- Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, and Muslim -- to "get a sense of what American's religions are thinking, teaching, and preaching about climate change." Explore the map and videos below to hear their thoughts. (Note: The interactive seems to work best in Firefox.)
