Google Psyche: Autocomplete for 'The State of the Union Is ...'

In honor of tonight's big speech, today's Google Psyche explores the state of our union. The results are as diverse as you might expect ("strong"! and also, "not good"!), with a nod to a Frank Rich op-ed thrown in for good intellectual measure.


Google Psyche is an exploration of the stories that the world's Internet searches tell. The company's autocomplete algorithm predicts the word a random web searcher is most likely to type next, providing a statistical probe for our collective consciousness.
