But according to a report in Politico, a passle of key Washington media and politics players are still reachable by their AOL email addresses. The list includes David Axelrod, Joe Trippi, Al Franken, Matt Drudge, Arianna Huffington, Ann Coulter, and David Brooks.
Ben Smith writes:
This is not, to say the least, a crowd of technophobes. Some, like Joe Trippi and Arianna Huffington, are seen as techno-sages. Rather, it's a generation of the political and media elite. It occurs to me that part of the reason some never switched is that they were early adapters of mobile devices, which don't care which service you're using. And if they've held on this long, there's really no reason to give up now on something that's cycled back to being a status symbol. So the next time you set out to tease your AOL-reliant friends, just remember that they are in good company.
