Picture of the Day: Incredible High-Resolution Image of a Storm on the Sun

NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory satellite took this incredible picture of a huge coronal mass ejection that blasted off the sun's eastern limb yesterday. A medium-sized solar flare occurred at the same time, but the energy it released is not aimed toward Earth.
