The First Video of the Far Side of the Moon

NASA's GRAIL mission just released the first video footage of the far side of the Moon from its Ebb spacecraft, taken on January 19. GRAIL, or Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory, consists of two lunar spacecraft which were named Ebb and Flow by a classroom of fourth graders in Bozeman, Montana, after a nationwide contest. Both modules have a MoonKAM (short for "Moon Knowledge Acquired by Middle school students"), which will let students study images of the Moon.
