The Best 2010 Meme I Forgot: Marcel the Shell

I'm not sure how it happened, but when I made my list of 2010's best/worst memes, I left off Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. It may be because I don't hate Marcel the Shell at all. I have nothing but love for Jenny Slate's creation, which is a tiny shell with a googly eye and a heartbreakingly cute voice that says things like, "Guess what I do for fun? I hang glide on a Dorito."

Of course, Marcel's multimillion-view success inspired a flock of homages and imitations, but accept no substitutes: Slate's comedic talent took this one-off video into a higher realm of funny.
