Amid the IBM Research campus in Austin, TX sits the IBM Watson Lab, where the next-generation computer operates in a replica of the same stage where it won Jeopardy! in 2011. But unlike on game show, where Watson competed, the Watson Lab is for experimentation and collaboration between IBM developers and customers that see value in Watson for their business.

"We envision it ... being a combined environment," said Matt Sanchez, the IBM Watson Labs team leader, "The system here is live. We support multiple customers on it and we built a lot of new innovative applications here as well."
