Don't Target Illegal Immigrants

Apparently, one of the problems with illegal immigration is that these immigrants are willing to do the same job for less money than the law requires paying citizens for the same work. Rather than targeting the immigrants to solve this problem, target the employers. Either make the penalties for illegal hiring practices stiffer than the savings from engaging in those practices, or create and enforce living wage laws that apply to all employees, regardless of their immigration status.
