For our annual gift guide, asked contributors and assorted luminaries to tell us what's high on their holiday wish list -- and what charity they'd like their friends to support.

What's on their wish lists?

José Andrés, James Beard 2011 "Outstanding Chef of the Year," chef/owner of ThinkFoodGroup, and star of the food and travel TV series Made in Spain
On his list: A Breville Die-Cast Citrus Press

It's my favorite juicer. Everyone should wake up and have a fresh-squeezed orange every day. By having a fresh glass of orange juice with American oranges, you are supporting the local economy, you have all the vitamin C you need in a day, and you support the environment because you don't use any plastic from bottles or bags. With a glass of orange juice made at home you can sustain the environment, create American jobs, and improve your health.

Andrés's holiday charity: DC Central Kitchen.
