Video of the Day: Porn Stars for Rick Santorum—Really

By David A. Graham

A group of adult actors set out to make a PSA against the Republican candidate, then end up with an unexpected conclusion (mostly SFW).

It's not hard to believe this exists, though it's a little hard to believe it's taken so long. But with Republican voters and operatives beginning to pressure Rick Santorum to leave the presidential race, a group that doesn't traditionally back GOP candidates is weighing in. That's right: porn stars. (NB: The language is a little salty, so you may want to listen with headphones, but the video is safe for work.)

The humor site Jest joined with porn producer Vivid Entertainment to film four adult actors criticizing Santorum, a social conservative who has said he would launch a crackdown on smut if elected. Though they start out attacking the former Pennsylvania senator, they end up adopting a rather different endorsement than you might expect. We won't offer too many spoilers, but suffice it to say they seem to be rooting for an Obama reelection. They also propose a mass masturbation event on May 1, complete with Twitter-ready hashtag.

Our verdict? The production values are good, but the plot is a little thin and the dialogue isn't that realistic.
