Easy there, Tiger! Louisiana State Tiger, that is. While campaigning in Baton Rouge on Sunday, the Republican candidate stopped by Alex Box Stadium, home of Tigers baseball, to see an LSU-Mississippi State game and hit some balls himself. Unless Santorum is a switch-hitter, it looks like he's a righty. That would make him a relative rarity among recent presidents if elected, but which seems fitting for his conservative politics. It's worth noting that when he faced off against Mighty Casey -- Bob Casey, that is -- in 2006, Santorum barely even got the bat off his shoulder.

Unfortunately, there's no word on how the Pennsylvanian did during his turn in the batter's box. However, the hometown Tigers did fall to the MSU Bulldogs, which seems like it ought to be a bad sign for Santorum. Fortunately for him, he led the most recent poll of the state, the only one in months.
