If the Internet is good for one thing -- and it's an open question, really -- that thing is themed galleries and Tumblrs like Kim Jong Il Looking at Things, "Kim Jong Un Looking at Things," and "A History of Obama Feigning Interest in Mundane Things."

All three point to the fundamental truth that every leader -- despotic, democratic, or anything in between -- spends a lot of time looking at objects they don't understand or really care about. And with Mitt Romney looking more certain to be the Republican nominee, maybe it's time to launch "Mitt Romney Looking at Things." Your move, Internet!

The stock caption for this photo explains, "Romney is shown surgical equipment by NuVasive CEO Alex Lukianov during a campaign stop at the company's head office in San Diego." Our suggested caption: "So tell me again how these humanoids work?"
