Tweet of the Day: Chad Ochocinco Is Worried About John Boehner

By David A. Graham

The NFL star sees the stony-faced speaker on TV and hears a cry for help.

New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has a reputation for self-absorbtion. It's not undeserved -- this is, after all, a man who changed his surname from "Johnson" to "Ochocinco," a tribute to his jersey number 85. But during the State of the Union Tuesday night, he reached out to another human being to lend a hand. As can be seen above, Ochocinco -- who was watching the speech and tweeting about it -- seemed worried about Speaker John Boehner, who has the unenviable task of staring at the back of the president's head and appearing interested throughout the speech.

Both men have a Cincinnati connection: Ochocinco used to be a star with the NFL's Bengals, while Boehner represents a suburban district in Congress. It appears the athlete was never his constituent -- he lives in Florida, according to TMZ.

This morning, Ochocinco again tweeted at Boehner, saying he hoped he was cheerier this morning. Here's hoping this is the start of a beautiful friendship: Boehner loves to golf, while Ochocinco was once fined for a touchdown celebration that mimicked putting. Make that tee-time happen!
