Mark Sanford might have to defend himself, and his governorship, on two fronts in January. The South Carolina Ethics Commission has announced
it will hear 37 charges against him, relating to his reported use of state aircraft for political travel and his purchases of expensive airline seats. A hearing is expected early next year. If Sanford faces an impeachment challenge, that will also happen early next year, when the state legislature returns to session in January. A House Judiciary subcommittee
will meet tomorrow to discuss impeachment.
