Where's Fred?

Rudy Giuliani, who seems to be spending as much time on Fox News as he does in campaign events in Florida, said of his efforts to talk to Sen. Fred Thompson:

"I haven't been able to reach him yet."

Hmm. I was told that Thompson called McCain yesterday to brief him on the impending drop-out, but a source close to Thompson says no such call was made and that Thompson had no plans to make campaign-related phone calls.
