I went to the
Washington Auto Show last night which I was expecting to be interesting but wasn't. It did, however, get me thinking about cars. Specifically taxis. Specifically, why don't I see more hybrids being used as cabs. A hybrid is more expensive than a conventional car, but it uses less fuel which saves you money. Thus if you drive a lot, a hybrid can save you money. And what kind of car puts on more miles than a taxi? Plus, they're mostly city miles where hybrids are super-duper efficient. Or maybe there are Prius cabs all over the country and DC's just behind the curve.
