Mukasey

I think the pragmatic argument that Mukasey in office is preferable to the realistic alternative options makes some sense. Still, avote to confirm him at this point would seem to set a bad precedent. At a minimum couldn't people inclined to take the Schumer line on this just abstain from voting and let the Republicans put him in?
