Kevin Drum ponder the possibly apocryphal origins of America's idiosyncratic habit of voting on Tuesdays. Whatever the reason for that choice of day, it's clear that the reason wasn't "this day will maximize voter participation in 21st century post-industrial America." We should change it and vote on Saturdays. The
vote-by-mail option also has promise.
