Ron Paul Raised $5 Million in Third Quarter

The presidential campaign of Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) has raised $5 million over the last three months, CNN is reporting. Paul is currently polling in fifth place, according to an average of recent national primary surveys. Friday is the last day for candidates to take in donations that count toward their third-quarter totals. From CNN:

The third quarter number is up from the $4.5 million the congressman from Texas raised in the quarter lasting from April through June. Paul presidential campaign chairman Jesse Benton confirmed to CNN the new fundraising figure, which was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
