Picture of the Day: George W. Bush Dodges a Foul Ball

A former owner of the Texas Rangers, George W. Bush knows his baseball. And while he looked a bit wimpy recoiling from a fly ball at Texas Stadium in Arlington Monday night, the former president was actually doing the right thing: White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski was attempting to make a play, and, as the hapless and tragic Steve Bartman learned the hard way in 2003, foul balls are still in play. Fan interference is a no-no.

Pierzynski seemed to appreciate it. He later said he told the former president and first lady, joking with them after the play, that "just cause he was the president doesn't mean I wouldn't jump on top of him."
