Tea partiers hope the new "Atlas Shrugged" film will succeed in its limited box-office release, further lodging Ayn Rand's objectivism into the mass political consciousness. Both Tea Party Express and FreedomWorks have actively promoted it.

But over at Slate, Dave Weigel points out that the film is struggling:

The movie hauled $879,000 over the weekend; more importantly, it only made an average of $1,890 per screen. The first week, it made $5,600 per screen.
