Racism Defined as 'All Those Who Oppose Me'

More
Rep.-elect Allen West after his recent victory:

"And the No.1 thing that you always try to do to silence an opponent in the United States of America is to call someone a racist." West said that attempts to tarnish the Tea Party did not foil his campaign. "And we see that that did not work whatsoever," he said.

Rep.-elect Allen West two weeks later:

"I think the American people are sick of, and that despicable, disgusting action and the way that they went after Joyce Kaufman shows that not only this liberal left has some issues with racism. I guarantee you, if I was a black Democratic congressman-elect, they would not be doing these type of actions. And the fact that they're attacking a woman like this, that shows me something about sexism and misogynist behavior."

Right. If you were a black Democratic congressman, they may well not "be doing these types of actions." But you aren't. You're a black Republican congressman whose basically being treated like a white Republican congressman, or a Latino Republican congressman. This is what happens in politics. Your enemies try to defeat you.

On a side-note, it's really sad to see this dude going into the CBC, while they kept Joseph Cao and Steve Cohen out. Adam has more.
