Wow. This ad from Charlie Melancon, David Vitter's Democratic opponent in the Louisiana Senate race, is brutally hard-hitting, even for Louisiana. A few years ago, you'll recall that Vitter was embroiled in the "DC Madam" prostitution scandal, but survived, and is comfortably ahead in his race for reelection (it's Louisiana!). The two-minute ad features "a former French Quarter prostitute" who says she was hired by Vitter (a.k.a. "The Teflon John")--and doesn't hold back on detail:
