National Journal editor in chief Ron Fournier sent around the following announcement about the future of the Hotline, the Tiffany brand of political news aggregation:

Reid Wilson and Josh Kraushaar, two of the best chroniclers of congressional and national politics, are teaming up once again to help lead the Hotline. The two Hotline alums co-hosted a political show on XM radio during the '08 elections and co-authored a blog on campaigns and elections for Politico and Real Clear Politics. They join a tremendously talented and hard working team, including Senate/Governor guru Quinn McCord and House race expert Tim Sahd.

Currently the editor of Hotline's On Call blog, Reid Wilson will be serving as Hotline's interim Editor-in-Chief. A solid reporter and lightning-fast writer, Reid took On Call to unprecedented heights. Since he started in November, traffic to the site has increased 100%. Reid has reported on politics for The Hill and Real Clear Politics and was named a rising star by Politico in the '08 cycle. He was a staff writer for Hotline from August of 2005 until January of 2007.

Josh, Hotline's new Executive Editor, comes to us from Politico where he has spent years breaking political news and covering and analyzing campaigns. He's known to many in this building as the former editor of House Race Hotline.  Josh will bring his insight, energy and great sources to The Hotline's already formidable political staff.
