The Audacity of Showing Up

That's how Sen. Bob Corker described President Obama's visit with Senate Republicans, at their weekly luncheon at the Capitol yesterday: "There was a degree of audacity in him even showing up today," Corker said after the meeting, as reported by Congress Daily.

In a meeting that was described as "testy" at times, Corker reportedly told the president that the White House was "duplicitous" in its dealings on financial reform. Read more about the meeting at Congress Daily.
