Thune on the Trail

John Thune is venturing out of North Dakota to do some campaigning.

The South Dakota senator, a darkhorse contender for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012, will head to St. Louis, Missouri on Monday to campaign with House candidate Ed Martin, CongressDaily's Erin McPike reports, blogging at Hotline OnCall.

The trip to Missouri will get Thune some exposure to Republicans in a bellwether state--but not necessarily an important one in presidential primary voting.
