Tracking the GOP race to 2012
Sarah Palin's national approval rating hit a low point, according to Washington Post/ABC polling; Mitt Romney leads the Republican field (with Palin coming in second) according to a Gallup poll that showed President Obama running statistically even with a generic Republican in a 2012 reelection race; in that same poll, Scott Brown came in ahead of some GOP heavyweights--namely Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, and Tim Pawlenty; Romney will be a guest of honor at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver; and Gingrich joined the campaign of Ali Hasan for Colorado state treasurer as an adviser.
