Poll: Obama Would Lose Election, If Held Today

According to the latest Allstate/National Journal Heartland Monitor poll, (full results here), President Obama would lose a reelection contest if it were held today against a generic candidate: 50 percent say they would probably or definitely vote for someone else, while 39 percent say they would vote to reelect the president.
