Hurtling Toward 2010, 12/11
By
The 2010 midterms are just around the corner (sort of). Here's what's happening:
Vice President Joe Biden attended a campaign fundraiser for Sen. Chris Dodd (D) in Connecticut; conservatives want vulnerable freshman Rep. Tom Perriello (D-VA) to move his district office to make it easier to protest outside (he shares a parking lot with several businesses that prohibit political protests); Rasmussen has Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) trailing GOP challenger Lt. Gov. Jane Norton 46-37; the firm gives state Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias (D) a 42-39 edge over Rep. Mark Kirk (R) in Illinois' Senate race; Rasmussen also reports that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) trails both of his GOP challengers by identical 49-43 margins; and Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) endorsed Republican Michael Williams in the Texas Senate race.
