It's the day before Thanksgiving in Washington, DC, which means it's time for some turkey pardoning. President Obama will grant a presidential pardon to the lucky bird in the traditional ceremony this morning, held in the White House Rose Garden at 11:30 a.m.
The Obama family will also participate in a public service event in the DC area.
With Congress home for the holiday, there's not much else going on, but...the Bureau of the Census will release its data on new residential sales and durable goods shipments, inventories, and orders for October; Education Secretary Arne Duncan will appear with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and deliver remarks on education reform at a Center for American Progress event in DC; and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will speak about the public health impacts of greenhouse gas reduction at the National Press Club at 8:30 a.m.
