Conservatives Who Want To Cap Emissions

James Inhofe (R-OK), the leading U.S. climate skeptic (which puts him high in the running for leading climate skeptic worldwide) having pledged to bring his views to the international climate summit in Copenhagen in December, Salon's Joe Conason takes a look at how the conservative leaders of France, Germany, and Sweden all lay claim to climate-consciousness...despite their conservatism. Of course, Sarkozy and Merkel are no Palin and Romney: American conservatism and European conservatism have more differences than just climate change, and American conservatives may not soon emulate their foreign analogues, on a wide range of other issues too. But environmentalists can hope.
