The Day In Politics, 6/23

More

Today, we learned that the Obama administration is shutting down a domestic satellite surveillance program; Iran's Guardian Council says it won't annul the election results; a cheat site can help you understand health reform; health insurers are feeling the public drumbeat for a public plan; and President Obama held a news conference covering Iran, health care reform, and energy.

We also mulled Iran's internet surveillance and how Iranians circumvent it; Iranian diplomats at 4th of July barbecues; the four keys to Obama's mind; whether he changed his position on Iran; Mark Sanford's disappearance; Obama's performance at the press conference; what the 1953 overthrow of Mossadeq has to do with today's debate on Iran; and two questions about Obama and health care.

We also made some corrections.

Tomorrow: President Obama holds a town hall meeting on health care at the White House; Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius testifies at a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing on health care; the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee holds a hearing on the health insurance industry; the Senate Foreign Relations Committee holds a hearing on Iran; the House Financial Services Committee holds a hearing on regulatory restructuring.
