Obama, Clinton Pick Their States

Hillary Clinton will watch election returns in Indiana. As of now, Barack Obama plans to be* in Raleigh, North Carolina, a fact that his campaign has tried to keep secret for most of the day, although not a terribly surprising choice, considering that he is far more likely to win North Carolina. The choice of North Carolina also suggests that the campaign is pretty confident about a strong performance there, which will be interpreted variously as a sign that Obama hasn't lost support from his own base or a split decision, in which case the Clinton campaign buys another couple of weeks to do more (win more delegates) with less (fewer delegates remaining).

* = plans could change.
