Read These Books!

When you work at the Atlantic, it often seems as if everyone around you is working on a book, a novel -- or a second book or novel. Natch, every Atlantic Voice except for me now has a book in print! (Any publishers interested?)

Professional jealousy aside, I commend to you Ross Douthat and Reihan Salam's Grand New Party and Matt Yglesias's Heads In The Sand. Ross and Reihan are conservatives writing about economic policy; Matt is a liberal writing about foreign policy. The books are provocative, smart, intellectually honest, and paradigm-shifting.
