In It to Win It
ByI think this is a misreading of the situation. It's almost impossible for Clinton to win the nomination at this point. She can't afford to "do the smart thing," help her campaign do a bit better, and then lose anyway. She can't afford to let the game come to her. If she's not going to drop out (which is what she ought to do), then she needs to push everything as hard as she can. She needs to make long-odds plays, because only long-odds plays have any chance of resulting in a Clinton win. It's smart, disciplined, rational politics. It's also extremely selfish, but that's another matter.
