Another Democrat's Perspective

"I don't often question the lens through which you view these things - but I must here. I grew up a black child in the segregated south - but I was lucky to have been reared by parents who taught me to respect myself and others and to believe I could accomplish anything. I went off to [a top school in the North] where, because I was from the south, hadn't gone to prep - that I was slower, less read, less prepared than they. The opposite was true. Today's reports of Obama's comments brought all that (to quote George Bush) "bigotry of low expectations" back. This is who Obama is. What effect to these comments have upon blue dog Democrat superdelegates?"
