Dodd's Many Kennedys.. And A Shriver (UPDATED)

(Changed post to clarify gender of Kennedy son and identity of other Kennedy son)

Sen. Chris Dodd and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy are closer than close friends, more akin to brothers than colleagues.

Kennedy's endorsement, as was postulated yesterday, is important in the primary and will actually help the candidate who receives it.

If the trend of Kennedy endorsements are a sign of where Ted is leaning, then Sen. Dodd has the best odds.

In a few hours, for example, the campaign will announce the endorsement of Robert Sargent
Shriver III, son of Eunice Kennedy and member of the city council in Santa Monica, CA.

Dodd has previously been endorsed by Sen. Kennedy's sons Ted Jr. and Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI).
