Dead Again
ByPro-bill liberal groups were essentially reduced to arguing that the Senate just needed to pass something called "comprehensive immigration reform" so that the conference committee could change it around in a couple of dozen ways. That may well have been the correct calculation, but it's not the kind of thing that gets people calling their senator and urging him to vote for the bill.
