I thought the Kentucky head-stomping story had more or less played itself out. Sure, the prime stomper, Tim Profitt, would get charged and arraigned and hopefully jailed for a spell (anger management classes would also be a good idea). But other than a few fruitful Olbermann segments, I figured: over.

Well, maybe not!

I've been getting non-ironic-seeming emails from readers claiming that the whole stomping thing was staged, was in fact the nefarious doing of (as best I can piece together) the liberal Canadian police state. That's right: there are Stomping Deniers!

No fucking clue what that last bit means, but I googled "Canadian Police Agents Provocateurs" and came up with this item from Boing Boing. Apparently it's all a consipiracy:

Maybe Matt Lauer can sit these people down and, you know, just bring everybody together.

P.S. If any Stomping Deniers out there would care to educate me a little more fully on the conspiracy, I'm curious. Email's right up top.
