Animals in the News

Though humans may be the dominant animals on the planet, we share it with countless other species. We treat some as sources of food and others as sources of companionship, entertainment, or education. Most animals live their lives independent of us, but they dwell in habitats but we shape profoundly. Large scale disasters, such as the recent earthquakes and wildfires, can have a huge impact on animal life.
