David Ignatius and Valerie Plame Sit Down with The Atlantic’s Steve Clemons for a Wide-ranging Conversation on the World of Espionage

By Press Releases

Washington, D.C. (May 22, 2014)— In a post-Snowden era where revelations about once-covert intelligence gathering activities continue to lead national headlines, The Atlantic will convene a special “Atlantic Exchange” discussion on Wednesday, May 28, at the Watergate. Authors David Ignatius, an award-winning Washington Post columnist who has covered the Middle East and the CIA for more than 25 years, and Valerie Plame, the famously outed former CIA covert operations officer, will join Atlantic Washington Editor-at-Large Steve Clemons for a conversation about the U.S. and global intelligence landscape. Following the discussion, the two authors will sign copies of their respective novels, including Ignatius’ newest book, The Director, before it is released publicly the following week.

Media interested in attending should contact The Atlantic’s Alexi New (anew@theatlantic.com). For those unable to attend in person, the event will be webcast live to The Atlantic’s Events Channel.  Follow the conversation on Twitter via @Atlantic_LIVE, #AtlX.
