A Short Goodbye

I haven't yet wrapped my mind around what just happened this week. All week my brain has felt like it's on fire, racing to write and then take in your reactions and conversations at once before moving on to the next thing. I so appreciated all the challenging, enriching conversation and I know you hear it all the time, but this is an amazing community.

Thank you TNC for your generous invitation and lots of gratitude to all of you, TNC's genius commenters, for allowing me to help start a few days of conversation. I also have to thank my editor Kai Wright and the rest of the gang at Colorlines for letting me spend the week here. It has been an enormous privilege and great deal of fun, but it's time to go back home now. Find me there, or on Twitter. And now I am going to go lay my head down on a little bed of ice.
