It Gets Better, Special Aspergers Unit

I'm an Aspie - that means I have Asperger Syndrome (AS), an autism spectrum condition. I've devoted my career to helping fellow Aspies better understand and get along with others...and vice versa.

I think It Gets Better is an excellent idea for Aspies, and I'm glad you think so too, judging from your recent post on the topic. So, I'm hosting a Blog Talk Radio show tomorrow afternoon, where Aspies can call in with their success stories. I've blogged about it here.

So, if you know anyone who may be interested, please feel free to spread the word. Thank you very much - and keep up the good work!

Aspergers kids can suffer terrible social abuse, and contra some of my commenters, I've certainly seen many adults join in the abuse, or uncomfortably ignore it, rather than offering role models and encouragement.  So I'm glad that someone's offering a ray of hope.
