A meeting on migration—and a diplomatic dispute: Austria has invited Balkan states to a meeting on migration, but excluded Greece from the event. In response, Greece has recalled its ambassador from Vienna for consultations. More than 100,000 people have entered Greece via the Mediterranean so far this year, and the country, which is still reeling from the economic crisis, has been criticized by its fellow EU members for not doing enough to control the flow of the new arrivals.

A decision on the ‘Jungle’:  A French court ruled authorities can evacuate and demolish part of the makeshift encampment outside Calais. About 1,000 people are affected by the order.
