Lee, who won a Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1961 for her novel To Kill a Mockingbird, just passed away at the age of 89. The news is being reported by Al.com, which cited multiple sources in Lee’s hometown of Monroeville, Alabama. WSFA-TV also reported Lee’s death, citing Mary Jackson, the city clerk.
