As you can see, as of this morning, the swirly part is heading into the ocean, rather than up the coast. That, of course, means more sad things for our precious already maligned beaches today. But, as this AccuWeather graphic, the snowfall forecast for NYC and Boston has decreased since Tuesday:
As of yesterday, the storm looked more like this:
But because of warm temperatures, like these below, the massive blizzard turned out to be a bust:
